About Zelda

Hello fellow bloggers and blog readers of the world. I AM ZELDA – while not the Zelda from the legendary game (you know the one….The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo), I like to think that we are all legends in our own way.. and here goes mine.

I AM ZELDA

I AM ZELDA

I was named after a beautiful soul and kindred spirit – my wonderful Aunt Zelda Christine because I was the lucky one out of the 9 of us kids (and no, that’s not a typo!) to be born on her birthday.  Mom and Dad were always into nic-names and so they called me “Sally”; the name which most people have come to know me by. However, my official, legal name and the one I choose to use is Zelda Christine.

I am a writer by nature and have always loved to write just about anything…songs, poetry, stories, etc. My working career spans about 20 years (so far and for the most part) as a Communications Specialist, working contracts as a consultant for various companies. So I’m sure you can imagine my joy when I was asked to be the official *blogger* for the Merchant’s Cross and Waterbed and Futon.  To further complicate things (because if there’s anything folks can say about me it’s that I like to keep busy) I have also just launched my own business, namely Launch Now!  But of course that’s not all! I am a mother of 3 wonderful children, have just about finished my college degree as a Community Social Services Worker, and am currently volunteering my time at a neighbourhood high school, working with special needs children.  In my *spare* time (LOL), I am a gospel singer (http://myspace.com/sallyoconnor) and attend Bayfair Baptist Church in Pickering, ON.

Martin Luther King said ‘we are either growing or we are dying’.  My choice is to never stop learning and never stop growing. So while I blog and write, market the internet, start up a business, study, pray, raise a family, and volunteer for my community, I wish to dedicate this Blog to all of life’s lessons I learn along the way.

I AM ZELDA and I am happy to be here.  While they say that people come into our life for a reason, a season, or lifetime, I hope the reason you are here is fulfilled and pray that our season together be a fruitful one for both of us. If you have any questions or if I may be of help to you in some way, feel free to contact me.  I invite you to  join me and welcome your fellowship as we travel along this journey we call life, together.

~Peace
